The Thelma Gibson Health Initiative (TGHI) is a 501(c)(3), not for profit and was initially founded to address the unmet needs of the residents of Coconut Grove in 2000. The necessities at that time were related to physical as well mental health for these City of Miami residents. Over the years, TGHI has developed a successful reputation of identifying the needs of community residents, developing programming to respond to those necessities and securing funding to support these initiatives. We have partnered with the City of Miami, Miami-Dade County and South Miami in an effort to educate and empower the local community and lend a helping hand where needed. Today, the Thelma Gibson Heath Initiative provides comprehensive and culturally competent social service programming to individuals and families across the lifespan through its three core programs.

Thelma Gibson Health Initiative is a proud beneficiary of the Golden Gables Fund. Learn more about Thelma Gibson Health Initiative.
