<li>You do not have to commit to the entire 4-day week; you may pick and choose whichever date(s) work best for you.</li>
<li>Chef Laura typically teaches from 8:45 am to 12:30 pm. The school often does not have an exact schedule until days before their scheduled week, so we apologize in advance for not being more precise on each classes&#8217; time frame.</li>
<li>If you are only able to stay for a specific amount of time (e.g. 9 am to noon), please let Laura Culbreth know (her contact information is below) or add a note when signing up.</li>
<li><strong>NOTE: All volunteers must pass a background check and receive clearance from Miami-Dade County in order to volunteer for a school. Volunteers who have been previously cleared must renew their clearance each year. See the instructions below for receiving or renewing a clearance.</strong></li>

<li><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">After creating an account, you will get an e-mail confirmation. Click on the link that says &#8220;To Log In Community Portal Click Here&#8221; and complete your registration. You will be directed to a link that will give you your username (bear with the system, sometimes its takes a little long).</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Use the Log in that they give you with the password that you gave while creating your account. </span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">After logging in, you should be directed to your Community Portal. </span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Scroll down and click on &#8220;Register to be a Volunteer&#8221;. It is right under &#8220;Give your time and talent&#8221;</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Here please fill in your information including Social Security, Birthdate, etc. Then click &#8220;Submit&#8221;</span></li>

There will first be a scroll down menu where you will need to select the school that you will be volunteering at.  </span></span><span style="margin: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Choose KEY BISCAYNE K-8 CENTER or CHARLES R. DREW K-8 CENTER. Then you will click &#8220;Classroom&#8221; under the first box that says Level 1 Volunteer. Click Submit!</span></li>
